For real, I grew up around American cars. While I don’t hate them, the only reason to bash foreign vehicles over them is because you have no experience around foreign vehicles. For instance, my friend had a YJ, but wanted a more practical daily driver, so I convinced him to buy a ‘94 Toyota Pickup. He kept them both for a while, and used the Jeep as a weekend toy. Guess which one he got rid of because the other did everything just as well, but more reliably? It wasn’t the Toyota. I don’t like GM vehicles either, why? Because that’s what I mainly grew up around. Why don’t I like them then? Because in my experience, they weren’t good. The only vehicle that was less reliable than any of our Chevy’s was our used 850 Turbo... With a salvage title. I’m all for having different tastes, but at least have a valid reason that isn’t some article you found on Facebook or even an enthusiast website, because god forbid you say the Camry is a perfectly suitable daily driver.

As a former German car fan........no, the electrics are no worse than GM going “Well let’s put in a gas tank that invites water to come up around the fuel pump seal AND let’s make it so the lock ring is unique to this one limited production model!” and that’s why I got rid of my 1995 Riviera. I honestly had twice the issues with that than I did with my 1991 Audi 200 20v. I should point out my 200 20v only had 1000 come to America. There were almost 100x that many Rivieras of my body style.

We’re lucky having such a good community here on Oppo. Lots of cars, lots of drivers, rarely any friction. I think it’s testament to the blog that there are so many Oppo’s willing to help another person in need.
This of course does not apply to HHFP and FJ80WaitinForaLSV8. Those guys in their Japanese pieces of shit can suck my chuff.

Not onto Jalopnik, I haunt Oppo mainly. If I do go on it’s only to read the articles, very very rarely do I bother to comment.
